Where We Ship & Shipping Rates

  • Shipping Zones: We ship exclusively to Canada (all provinces and territories). We currently do not ship to international destinations outside of Canada.
  • Shipping Cost: Free shipping is provided for all orders delivered within Canada. There are no additional handling fees or hidden charges.
  • Shipping Origin: All orders are shipped directly from our primary distribution centre at 8 Mercer Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 0C4, Canada.

Understanding Your Delivery Timeline

Your total delivery time is calculated by combining our handling time and the carrier's transit time.

1. Order Handling Time (Processing)

  • Timeframe: Standard processing is 1–3 business days (Monday to Friday).
  • Cut-Off Time: Orders placed before 11:00 AM (GMT-05:00) Eastern America Standard Time (Toronto) begin processing the same business day.

2. Transit Time & Total Delivery

We ship all orders via Chit Chats, who partner with final-mile carriers like UPS and Canada Post.

  • Canada: Transit Time: 3–9 business days (Monday to Friday). Total Delivery (Processing + Transit time): 4–12 business days (Monday to Friday).

Important Notes & Customer Responsibilities

  • Tracking: A tracking number will be emailed to you within 24–48 hours after your order is dispatched.
  • Address Accuracy: Customers are responsible for providing a complete and correct shipping address at checkout. We cannot be held liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect information.
  • Order Changes & Cancellation: You may request an address change or cancellation within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, cancellation or changes are not guaranteed.
  • Damaged/Missing Items: Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Please provide photos of the damage and packaging for verification.

Your satisfaction is our priority. This policy outlines our commitment to a fair, transparent, and simple process for returns and exchanges.

  • Return Window: We accept returns requested within 30 days of the date your package is marked as delivered by the carrier.
  • Restocking Fee: We believe in fairness, which is why we do not charge any restocking fees for eligible returns.
  • Refund Method: All approved refunds are issued as a full credit back to your original payment method. We cannot issue refunds to different accounts or cards.
  • Eligibility: To qualify, the item must be unused, unopened, and unworn and must include all original packaging, tags, accessories, and seals.

2. How to Initiate a Return (Step-by-Step)

  1. Contact Us: You must start the process by emailing us at info@heywhiskeyshop.com. Use the subject line “Return Request—Order #(Your Order Number).”
  2. Provide Details: Include your Order Number, full name, and a detailed reason for the return. Photos/videos are required for all claims involving damaged or defective items.
  3. Receive Authorization: Within 24–48 business hours, our team will send you the Return Authorization Number (RMA) and the exact shipping instructions. Do not ship any item without receiving this RMA.
  4. Ship Securely: Pack the item securely and ship it back using a trackable courier service, ensuring the RMA is visible inside or on the package.

3. Refund Processing Time

  • Inspection Time: Once your item arrives at our facility, it undergoes inspection within 1–3 business days.
  • Refund Issuance: If approved, your refund is processed within 5 business days (Monday to Friday) of item inspection.
  • Total Time: Please allow a total of 7–10 calendar days for the credited amount to appear in your bank or payment account after we process the refund.

4. Return Shipping Costs (Who is Responsible?)

  • HeyWhiskey Pays When: We cover the cost of return shipping if the return is due to our error (item is damaged, defective, or incorrect). We will provide a prepaid return label.
  • Customer Pays When: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs if the return is due to customer choice (e.g., changed mind or ordered the wrong size/variation).

5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

We require that any damage, defect, or incorrect item be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Upon verification, we will promptly issue a free replacement or a full refund, and we will cover the cost of the return shipping.
